Medical text books defines acne as a disease of the hair follicles of the face, chest, and back that affects almost all males and females during puberty. It is not caused by bacteria, although bacteria play a role in its evelopment. It is not unusual for some women to develop acne in their mid- to late-20s.

In my book, it is something that I squirm to recall having. You see, acne is the worst thing that I ever experienced during my college years. It has been an everyday ordeal for me on how to hide it (as if I can) or pretend I don't have it whenever I go out with friends and meet new acquiantances.  Actually, it might have been acne that caused bits of feeling of inferiority that I had then.
