Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2012

I am fond of making lists.

From shopping list to wish list and things-to-do-list to bucket list, I just love the feeling of jotting just about anything that comes to mind and taking time to make it into sort of a challenge that I have to accomplish on a given time.

When I was in elementary, I used to be the designated "lister" (if there is such a thing) of our class adviser. Well, it's just actually a task that even a dummy can do. I just have to note on a sheet of paper or, if I am a little brave on a day, on the blackboard my anyone in our room who roam around, noisy, standing or littering while our teacher left us for we-don't-know-what-she's-doing-in-the-CR-for-half-an-hour.

When she arrives, it's the dreaded "the look" from her to every single soul listed in "the list". Now, if you want to be spared from "the look," you better have a spare peso from your baon to get a piece of pastillas or two that our teacher is selling secretly.

That was the earliest form of list that I made and after that, I basically grew up listing just about anything worth noting. The only list I try to avoid is the one with those personal credit and loans.

Now, let's talk about blogging and a list I just made for the writing project Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2012.  Below are the blogs I stumbled upon and have been my source of great reading in the past few months now:

1. www.GadgetGambit.com - Great name for a tech blog. I often get great online promos from this site along with the cool reviews about the latest devices in the market.

2. www.eccentricyethappy.blogspot.com - Who says you can't be happy when you're eccentric? Well, read this blog and find out the fun-filled journey of a quirky lady is into everyday.

3.  www.foydi.blogspot.com - The hunt for real life's treasure is what Foydi's Treasure Hunt all about.  Be amazed how even the simplest things in the world has an inspiring story to tell.

4.  www.pinabilingsuka.com - It's always a joy to read when there are moments of laughing or giggling. This blog is fun and has touch of humor in most of its entries.

5.  www.thehealthyjourney.tumblr.com - We talk and hear about health and wellness from time to time but are we really doing something to improve our ways? Well, this blog tells you how.

6.  www.yummytales.com - This blog tells that it's not only food that can be yummy. Sometimes, there are things in life that we'd like to savor again and again because of the great feeling it brings.

7.  www.musicrepubliq.com - I am a music lover and I want to be updated with the latest hits and who are the artists currently making waves in the chart. This blog keeps me in the loop.

8. www.fadandglamor.com - Want to be fashionable but your on strict budget. You'll get a tip or two on how to do it in this blog from a fashionista mom blogger-on-a-budget.

9. www.mommysmaglife.blogspot.com - A mommy dreams to have a magazine featuring about her life as a parent. Well, she's on a good start with this blog about motherhood and related topics.

10. www.maximizingmarriage.com - Who wants a happy and long-lasting relationship? Here's one site that will give you ideas and tips on how to make marriage a worth-while adventure.

Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2011 Writing Project

Influential Blogger by Ms. Janette Toral continues with its annual quest to find the emerging influential blogs. Now in its fifth year, all bloggers are invited to send in their nominees so those who truly deserves will be recognized.

Below is my list of nominees based on my taste. Actually, these blogs have influenced me in one way or another:

1. Mommy Survival Guide. Parenthood, relationships and other things in between shared through great posts based on experiences and stuff stumbled upon the net.

2. Certified Foodies - For the Love of Food! . This blog is sad to have started with the purpose of hopefully encouraging people to go back to their kitchens and cook. One will also be encouraged to eat more with the food adventures shared here.

3. Kwento ni Toto. I just love the blog's name. I share some of Toto's views and stories especially about fatherhood, me being a parent as well.

4. 7107 Reasons. Be forever proud proud of our country with 7000+ more reasons from this innovative and clever blog.

5. BLOG-PH.com is an up-and-coming lifestyle blog which is quite making a buzz in the local blogosphere. Why? Well, check out and discover for your self.

6. Foodtrip. No need to explain. If your hungry and is on a look out for a new dining tables to feast, you can get some good tips from this site.

7. Purple Plum Fairy. The blog was created in Feb. 1, 2010 but the site actually took off in eight months later with it's first post. Won a blog contest from Nuffnang early this year and feature freebies from time to time.

8. Mapagbigay ka ba? An advocacy blog for people who are looking for individuals or organization to help. The counterpart of the contest blog Mapanghingi ka ba?

9. Lakwatsera Mom. A mom's journey to what ever life has to offer. She's everyehere thus living up to her blog's name.

10. Girl Kuripot. Who doesn't know Boy Kuripot? Well, his tag team partner in real life has also ventured with a contest blog for her self.

This year, Influential Blogger by Ms. Janette Toral continues with its annual quest to find the emerging influential blogs. Now in its forth year, all bloggers are invited to send in their nominees so those who truly deserves will be recognized.

KaBlog! ni K Brosas - Yes, that funny girl K Brosas has a blog and his Dear Tehhh saga is a blast! It's like reading a script of her upcoming stint at your favorite comedy bar.

Totoy Henyo - This blogger from the South posts stupidly funny ways to survive life. Reading his posts alone will make you wanna live longer to be able to get a dose of his unusual yet amusing ideas.

TV Series Craze - I am a certified couch potato but never have a chance to do a TV marathon lately. Good thing this blog exists and I am updated of what is happening in the boob tube.

Brew of the Day (Musings of a Coffeholic Teacher) - I had this dream when I was a kid that I will be a teacher someday so I much as well hear some (dis)encouragement from this teacher online.

Paolo Dome - Three F's to describe this blog: Funky, Fresh and Fun (and not that F you're thinking of).

The Music Vlogger: Rabsing - It's raining again these days. Maybe I have to stop singing in the bathroom. I'll just have a bite of the latest tasty bits in the music biz via this blog.

Chuck Norris is the Best Man I Ever Know - I grew up watching Chuck Norris films and it was only this year that I found some unknown facts about my hero through this blog dedicated in breaking the hearts of every Norris fan

Jay.eLx - A movie blog where one can read good recommendations on what's hot and what's not in the world of silver screen. That will save you at least Php 150 worth of ticket from a what-the-heck film.

My Puzzle Piece - I found this blog as an exciting piece in the blogosphere. It's like a box of chocolate, you never know what you're gonna get since it's just about anything under the sun!

Mapanghingi ka ba? (Freebie for every Juan) - I was surprised that a contest blog can be a venue to find new friends. Maybe because I don't only post promos and freebies. I want my readers to hear what I really think about it. That's why I am nominating my blog where I get some comments and emails of appreciation for the heads up and tips I gave re different promotions.
