Swish Love with Fresh Breath

Valentine’s Day is a little different this year.

Yup, my wife and I had our traditional dinner date and exchanging of gifts and greeting cards. Only this time, we have five other pairs to share the table with. Let’s call it a group date.  We were joined by my wife’s siblings and their spouses in a pizza parlor in Gateway mall in Quezon City. The night was filled with laughter and my tummy with slices of thin crust goodies.

When we got home, I can still recall all the amusing stories we shared. I can still taste the spaghetti sauce in my mouth. Worse, I can still smell the scent of the onion toppings of the pizzas that I ate. Well, it only took me 30 seconds to solve the problem.

Good thing we have Swish Mouthwash, a quality product of Unilab, in our bathroom. It’s a alcohol-free oral care brand.  One unique thing about it is that it has SureFresh that helps fight bad breath, plaque and gingivitis for long-lasting fresh breath.  You can even have a different flavor of mouthwash per day since Swish has five great-tasting variants: Peppermint Fresh, Arctic Chill, Cinnamon Blast, Mangosteen Mint and Icy Choco Mint.

My personal favorite is Arctic Chill because of the exciting coolness it brings inside my mouth. I actually have a post about the minty level that every Swish flavor gives. Check HERE if you want to learn what variant will suit your need.

The following day, I was talking to my officemates about how they spent Heart’s day. Kuya Toto and Edward were excitedly sharing their story when I noticed something, smelled something to be precise. I can tell what they had over lunch based on the scent in the room. There’s definitely something fishy entering my nostrils so I offered them a couple of pocket size Swiss

I told them that since it’s alcohol free, it is safe to use every day and assures an enjoyable gargling experience. With Swish, they’ll definitely have fresh breath all day. It’s an essential product in every home and office. It’s a must inside the bathroom.

Here’s what my officemate has to say about Swish Mouthwash:

Edward: “Swish taste good. It really tastes mangosteen. The taste and smell of the fish I ate for lunch was totally gone. My mouth feels very fresh now.”

Kuya Toto: “I like it. I can now kiss my wife even after eating as long I use Swish.”

Well, I am just happy that I was able to share love, or Swish love to be exact. As I always say to my friend, nothing can go bad if you have fresh breath.

Dumb Ways to be Loved

Have you heard of the video "Dumb Ways to Die" that went viral  a couple of years ago?

It was a public service announcement campaign by Metro Trains in Australia to promote rail safety. The campaign video went viral through sharing and social media since it was released in November 2012. The campaign received some criticism on its "morbidness" as the ad reinforces deadly trains as a possible suicide method.  To date, it has spawned at least 85 video parodies.

For the spirit of fun, which I think is one of the elements of the video that one will easily notice, I wrote a poem (that can one can sing along with the original video) dedicated to all guys out there who are still in the process of unlocking the art of being loved. I am no love expert but I have some tips that have worked for me that I want to share.

DUMB WAYS TO BE LOVED
(De) Composed by Richard Mamuyac

Take time to fix your hair
Buy a Schick and shave your beard
Ask someone out for a date
And don’t forget to brush your teeth

Chorus:
Dumb ways to be loved
So many dumb ways to be loved
Dumb ways to be loved
So many dumb ways to be loved

Check your crush but do not stalk
Where she study or go to work
Teach yourself how to say Hi
Without freezing in front of sweetie pie

(Repeat Chorus)

Invite an available girl in sight
Take her home for a ride
Take your helmet off but don’t shove on her face
Let her use it and say “I’ll take you to a safe place”

(Repeat Chorus)

Keep a Cocker Spaniel as a pet
Post a selfie photo on the Internet
Or on Youtube, sing a tune or two
Choose the songs with words like “I love you”

(Repeat Chorus)

Dress up and act cool even it’s summer season
Buy flowers ‘coz she deserve it and that’s the reason
Stand on the edge of table of your loved one
Try to smile and relax while your finger crossing
Recite the sweet nothings you’ve been practicing
Pop the question, “Would it be possible for you to love me?”

The dumbest ways to be loved
The dumbest ways to be loved
The dumbest ways to be loved
So many dumb
So many dumb ways to be loved
be loved be loved be loved

Be astig but not maangas. Be confident and stop being torpe. A message from Astig Machismis.

The Walking Dead 0409: After

Michonne will again showcase her kick ass character this episode
I can assure you that this post contains harmless spoilers on the latest episode of TWD. I would like to believe that.

But please allow me to reconfirm one of the major highlights in the midseason finale of TWD season 4 (Too Far Gone): two major deaths.

Hershel is dead and so as the Governor. One of the vivid images that will be seen at the start of episode 9 is the dead body of Gov with a big hole on his head--- meaning, this will be the last time we will see him since he will not turn into a walker. Okay, enough of the spoilers, as if you did not saw that coming.

For fans of Michonne, who will again showcase her kick ass character in the beginning of the show, you better not miss this episode. She'll have quite of a moment with Hershel (yup, our good ol' Hershel will still appear in this show and could be his last as well). And a peak from her past (or was it) will be revealed thus we'll finally understand her personality.

As what we have seen in the last episode, Rick and his son Carl went together and was seperated from the others. It's like they'll starting all over again just like in season 1 (and the Piolo-Toni movie, perpahs? lol). Well, Carl still annoys his dad (and the rest of us) because of his ill-advised decisions and hardheadiness. And btw, he might draw the biggest screams for this episode.

But the most shocking moment in the history of this TV series might have just happened this week--- the death of a major, major character. Is HE really dead?

The other not so good this week is... no Daryl! Sorry, girls. But next episode will be one heck of a ride base on the preview video.

Think about your drink

One thing that has been more unpredictable than a woman’s mind these days is the weather.

Just like yesterday, I have to use two blankets while sleeping because it felt like I have two air conditioning unit switched to high cool mode. Actually, we already turned off our unit because the cold breeze outside found its way to enter our room. We’re expecting a windy or cool afternoon so we thought of going out for a family activity only to find out that the sun is scorching hot by noon time. Well, I can still say that is much better than the weather in the southern part of country where a typhoon is being experienced now.

With the kind of climate that we have, it just right that we make our bodies prepared against sickness. A good diet, regular exercise and vitamins are just some of the things we can consider. Many people are actually cautious these days about what to eat and drink and that’s what we really need to do--- make smarter and healthier choices!

I read an article online about Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited grand winner Slater young promoting Oishi Smart C+, a convenient and refreshing drink that gives his immunity boost amidst his daily activities and engagements.

I think I’ll be doing this clever move and #thinkaboutyourdrink not just for me but also for my wife and son. I don’t want to be sick and spread the illness to everyone at home. With Smart C+, I can get my daily dose of resistance-building Vitamin C so I can cope with the daily demands of a dynamic life which then makes me unstoppable and ready whenever, wherever. To know more about the product, visit www.oishi.com.ph.

Smart C+ is available in leading supermarkets and grocery stores with three equally thirst-quenching flavors to choose from: Lemon Squeeze, Orange Crush, and Pomelo Grapefruit.
